Health benefits have been tied to marriage for the good of children and the good of society.  The proposed expansion, by allowing non-married couples or groups the sme benefits as those who are married, will weaken the foundational institution of marriage.  Children develop better within a family which includes a mother and a father.  The marriage amendment, the Constitution of Virginia, stands in oppostion to proposals like this one.  So do we tax payers who do not want a tax increase for an expansion like this.
