Do NOT Expand Healthcare to Live-In's

Dear Governor Kaine:

I completely oppose expanding healthcare coverage beyond married couples. The proposal to expand health care benefits beyond marriage is a clear violation of the Constitution of Virginia. This would also INCREASE the cost of health insurance for the state, which would of course be passed onto Virginia taxpayers. Eliminating 'benefits of marriage' will only harm our society as marriage has always been a foundation of stable societies. It is a well established fact that children thrive in married situations rather than non-married families (marriage, defined as between one man and one woman which 2.1 Virginian's voted in favor of in 2006.) I urge you to not make this grave decision to undermine families and increase costs for taxpayers during your last months as Governor.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Wollschlager
