Note that this would not cost the taxpayers anything -- employees would be paying 100% of the premiums, unlike the current situation for spouses and dependents. And this would not be in violation of the 'marriage amendment' based on the comments made by Governor-elect McDonnell regarding the gym-membership case at UVA.
