Strongly Oppose

I am writing in strong opposition to vaccine mandates for schools (students, teachers, staff, visitors, sports spectators, etc.). Whether we are talking about the covid vaccine which has not been around long enough for long-term studies to be done on potential side effects, or vaccines that have been around for years, there should always be choice. A vaccine is a medical procedure, it is something injected into a body, and we should always have the right to say no to putting something in our bodies that we do not want. Furthermore, the covid vaccine does not stop a person from getting covid or from spreading covid. The virus can still spread and mutate even after vaccinated, so unvaccinated and vaccinated people are equally able to contribute to the spread. Vaccine mandates are unnecessary. Additionally, mask mandates for unvaccinated people (if this is also under consideration) would be discriminatory. Thank you for taking the time to read my input. Please, no vaccine mandates.
