No to vaccine mandates

I strongly disagree with mandating COVID vaccines for staff and students.  A blanket mandate of vaccines is not well supported by science. Those who choose not to get vaccinated pose no public health threat to those who are already immune or who choose to get vaccinated.  The idea that every person has to be vaccinated to control the pandemic is based on the false assumption that the risk of dying from COVID is evenly distributed amongst the population.  Information and data starting from the beginning of the pandemic has consistently told us the young and the healthy are not at risk from this virus. Mandates do not take into account anyone who has natural immunity which has been proven to be longer lasting and more effective than the vaccines.  New disturbing information has come to light about the underreporting of adverse COVID vaccine effects. Mandates should be put on hold as these claims are verified and researched.  Vaccine mandates are an unnecessary overstep in schools.
