I suppose I’m in the “irrational minority,” but I am a pro-vaccine pharmacist with school aged children. Recent studies have shown that natural immunity is absolutely effective and this vaccine is only somewhat effective against new variants. The risk of covid to children is low, despite what media fear mongering will tell you. I will absolutely not put this vaccine, which has NO LONG TERM DATA, into the bodies of my children. It is TOO SOON. We need to stop pretending that there are no risks to vaccines. They are drugs and they have side effects just like any other drug. It is so important to consider risk versus benefit for these situations. This vaccine makes no sense for my child. Requiring the vaccine for our children for YOUR comfort is wrong, and I absolutely will not stand for it.
