Parent Involvement

Under Medical Necessity Criteria it states " Direct family involvement in the treatment program is required at a minimum of weekly but the amount of direct interaction with the treatment provider will vary according to the clinical necessity, progress as documented, and the youth and family goals in the ISP."

Can you please clarify what "involvement" looks like (I.e. Is parent training required weekly)? On a daily basis during pick up and drop offs the RBT/BCBA discusses with parent/guardian for about 10 minutes total (5 min. drop off, 5 min. pick up) discussing progress and updates on their day while providing parent homework. Addition to this we provide a minimum of 2 hours of parent training per month. Does this meet the criteria?
