| Action Summary |
In 2021, the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) conducted a periodic review of the Human Rights Regulations. As a result of that review, DHBHDS and the Office of Human Rights (OHR) determined the regulations should be amended. The revisions will make the Human Rights Regulations more accessible and understandable for providers and individuals by reflecting current standards and processes, simplifying regulatory language, and aligning with the Code of Virginia, specifically relevant provisions of the Health Care Decisions Act. |
