The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Tank Program is in the process of revising the heating oil guidance section of the DEQ’s Storage Tank Program Technical Manual concerning assessment and remediation of releases from heating oil tanks. A draft of of the guidance is available at on the DEQ web page at:  http://www.deq.virginia.gov/Portals/0/DEQ/Land/Tanks/dhoguidance.pdf.  Public comment on the draft will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on FEBRUARY 18, 2015.  Please submit all comments to the contact person listed below.
