The State Board of Elections has received the following linked request for an advisory opinion concerning the permissible use of campaign funds.

Pursuant to Va. Code § 24.2-948.8, any person subject to the provisions of Va. Code § 24.2-948.6 may submit a complete written request for an advisory opinion concerning the application of that section to a specific transaction or activity. 

In accordance with Va. Code § 24.2-948.8(B), requests for advisory opinions are made available to the public, and interested parties may submit written comments during a 10-day public comment period.
