RE: May 26, 2026 Hampton Wetlands Board meeting
The Hampton Wetlands Board will conduct a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. in
Hampton City Council Chambers, 8th floor, City Hall, 22 Lincoln Street, Hampton, Virginia. A work
session will occur prior, starting at 4:00 p.m. in Hampton Community Development Conference Room,
5th floor, City Hall, 22 Lincoln Street, Hampton, Virginia. The Board will consider during its regular
meeting:
Joint Permit Application 2025-2788: Joe Griffith, 46 N Willard Ave [LRSN: 12001546], a request to
install and enhance 98 linear feet of living shoreline for purposes of erosion control and habitat creation.
The project proposes 294 square feet of impact within the tidal wetlands for placement of a sill
comprising of Sandbar Oyster Co. Oyster Pillows and Oyster Tables. 500 plugs of Spartina alterniflora
will be planted from mid-tide to Mean High Water in existing sediment. No additional fill is proposed as
part of this project.
A site visit meeting to view the above referenced projects will convene on Tuesday, May 19, 2025, 4:00
p.m. at 46 N. Willard Ave, Hampton, VA.
