Notice of Virginia Beach Wetlands Board Public Hearing
A Public Hearing of the Virginia Beach Wetlands Board will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026
at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chamber – 2401 Courthouse Dr., Municipal Center, Bldg. 1, Second
Floor, Virginia Beach, VA. A Staff briefing session will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the City Manager's
Conference Room 2034. All interested parties are invited to attend.
The following requests are scheduled to be heard:
New Business
1. Richard Reass [Applicant & Owner] To construct a rip rap revetment involving wetlands
at 2409 Windward Shore Dr, contiguous to Broad Bay – GPIN 1499986249 – District 8.
2. Christopher J. & Laura Chavis [Applicants & Owners] To construct a rip rap revetment and
return walls involving wetlands at 276 Overholt Dr, contiguous to canal to Elizabeth River
– GPIN 1467600569 – District 1.
3. Thomas McNicholas, III [Applicant & Owner] To construct a bulkhead, return walls, and
rip rap revetment involving wetlands at 2016 Ridge End Rd, contiguous to Long Creek –
GPIN 1499072550 – District 8.

Reports are posted to the Board webpage. Staff Reports will be available on the webpage 5
