Ambrosia Solar, LLC has provided the Department of Environmental Quality a notice of intent to submit the necessary documentation for a permit by rule for a small renewable energy project in Brunswick County, pursuant to Virginia Regulation 9VAC15-60. The proposed project location is off Browns Creek Road in Broadnax, Virginia (GIS coordinates at the project entrance are 36.675115°, -77.914798) and will have a maximum rated power capacity of 65 MWac. The total proposed project site is 830.3 acres with a disturbance area of approximately 550 acres. The solar array will be comprised of approximately 115,000 photovoltaic modules. The project developer is Terra Form Power based in Charlottesville, Virginia.
