Notice is hereby given that the Northampton County Wetlands Board will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, to consider and to hear public comments on one application.

The meeting will begin at 8:30 AM with a site visit to the affected property. The Board will reconvene at or around 9:00 AM that same morning in Board Chambers in the County Administration Building at 16404 Courthouse Road, Eastville, Virginia, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing.

VMRC 2026-0119: THS Family Limited Partnership (property owner) & Jesse W. Thompson Jr. (applicant) are applying for an after-the-fact permit to replace 100 feet of damaged bulkhead within the existing footprint and construct a rip rap revetment to reinforce the new bulkhead. The revetment will be made of Class II quarry stone and placed along the face of the bulkhead atop filter cloth. The property is located at 16218 Smith Beach Road, Eastville VA, and is further described as Tax Maps 56-A-99A (land parcel) & 56-A-16218 (building only) along the shoreline of Chesapeake Bay.

The application file may be viewed in the Planning, Permitting, and Enforcement Office in the County Administration Building, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
