During the 2025 General Assembly Session, the legislature passed, and the Governor approved, HB 2195 (Chapter 251 of the 2025 Acts of Assembly). The legislation tasks the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) with studying the mold inspection and mold remediation workforce. As part of this study, DPOR is soliciting feedback from industry professionals, particularly those who perform mold inspections or mold remediation. Please share your thoughts about the current state of the mold industry:

• What is going well and what is going wrong?
• Would there be benefits to strengthening laws and regulations directed toward industry professionals? If so, are there particular areas in which laws and regulations should be strengthened (i.e., individuals performing mold assessments, inspections, or remediation, the manner in which landlords respond to mold complaints, etc.).
