It is time to begin the process of updating the Virginia Codes. The Board of Housing and Community Development (the Board) will meet on March 10, 2025 at 10:00 am, to consider Notices of Intended Regulatory Action (NOIRAs) for the 2024 Code Development Cycle.

During the 2024 Code Development Cycle (CDC) we will continue utilizing Virginia’s online code development system (cdpVA) to submit and track code change proposals and for posting important information related to the code development process, including workgroup, sub-workgroup and study group information.

On April 1, 2025, cdpVA will officially open for submission of code change proposals for the 2024 CDC. Study Groups and Sub-Workgroups are expected to begin meeting this spring and Workgroup meetings to discuss individual code change proposals are expected to begin this summer. Additional information will be provided as it is available.
