The Department of Environmental Programs is in receipt of a Joint Wetlands Application, VMRC# 20242934 for the
proposed 60' +/- long revetment with two 20' +/- return walls
above MHW on the referenced parcel.
Based on a review of the plans and materials submitted, it has been determined that your project will impact
wetlands in the jurisdiction of the Accomack County Wetlands Board; therefore, approval from the Board will
be necessary. Your hearing has been tentatively scheduled for March 27, 2025 in the Accomack County
Administration Building Board Chambers, Room #104, 23296 Courthouse Avenue in Accomac, Virginia at 10:00
am.
If this project impacts tidal vegetated wetlands, the Accomack County Wetlands Board will require mitigation for
any unavoidable tidal vegetated wetlands losses. If it is determined this project is necessary and you are unable
to avoid tidal vegetated wetlands losses and you are not able to provide mitigation, you will be required to pay
$18.00 per square foot of impacted tidal vegetated wetlands and $18.00 per square foot of impacted tidal nonvegetated
wetlands into the Accomack County Wetlands Mitigation Account.
