Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 and Chapter 14 28.2-1400 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing in the Sheriff’s Office at 195 Judicial Place in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, commencing at 7:00 P.M., to consider the following application for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:

1. Request by Joseph E. Armsworthy (V.M.R.C. #24-2237) to install 176 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Kingscote Creek and 528 Kingscote Drive.
   2. Request by Susan Brueser (V.M.R.C. #24-2268) to install 290 linear feet of riprap revetment channelward of a failing bulkhead and eroding bank along the shoreline of Cod Creek and 109 Hideaway Lane.
   3. Request by Mark Hogan (V.M.R.C. #24-2312) for an after-the-fact permit to allow 55 linear feet of riprap sill and to install additional stone to 55 linear feet of riprap sill along the shoreline of Cranes Creek and 92 Hall Farm Drive.
   4. Request by James W. Kaufman (V.M.R.C. #24-2283) to install 64 linear feet of armor stone revetment along the shoreline of the Potomac River and Tax Map Parcel # 18-A(2)-3A on Candy Point Road.
   5. Request by Geraldine Ludwig (V.M.R.C. #24-2430) to install 101 linear feet of riprap revetment along the shoreline of Indian Creek and Tax Map Parcel #53-A(6)-4 on Ute Road.

The applications requesting the proposed permits are on file in the Office of Building and Zoning at the Old Courthouse in Heathsville, VA, where all interested parties may view and inspect the projects.
