Hera Solar, LLC provided the Department of Environmental Quality a notice of intent (NOI) to submit the necessary documents for a permit by rule for a small renewable energy project (solar) in Tazewell County, pursuant to Virginia Regulation 9VAC15-60. The Hera Solar project will be located in Tazewell, Virginia on two parcels of approximately 720 acres just north of Lake Witten Road. Latitude and longitude coordinates are as follows: 37.170322, -81.504903. The project as proposed will have up to a rated capacity of 20 megawatts (“MW”) alternating current and use approximately 48,000 photovoltaic panels. The developer for the project is Energix Renewables.
