The Stafford County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 16, 2024, beginning at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the George L. Gordon, Jr., Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road. The hearing will consider the request of Mr. David Lynch for a Stafford County Wetlands Board Permit on Tax Map Parcel No. 40-59. The request is to permit the placement of a 180 linear foot riprap revetment to stabilization a portion of Aquia Creek shoreline within the parcel located at 1 George Street. The installation of the riprap revetment will result in a permanent loss of 800 sq. ft. of non-vegetated, tidal wetlands.
All interested parties are invited to appear at the above designated time and place and state their views. Persons requiring special accommodations to facilitate participation in the above matter are encouraged to contact the Department of Development Services at least five days prior to the meeting.
The public hearing may be continued or adjourned. A copy of the application and other related materials are on file in the Department of Development Services located at 2128 Richmond Highway, Suite 201, Stafford, Virginia 22554, and may be examined Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
