Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 and Chapter 14 28.2-1400 of the Code of Virginia, that the Northumberland County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing in the Sheriff’s Office at 195 Judicial Place in Heathsville, Virginia, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, commencing at 7:00 P.M., to consider the following application for wetland and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach permits:

1. Request by Ralph A. and Elizabeth M. Lewis (V.M.R.C. #24-1802) to install 59 linear feet of riprap revetment and install 81 linear feet of riprap sill along the shoreline of Henrys Creek and 130 Creeks End Lane.
2. Request by W. Scott & Mary Thompson (V.M.R.C. #24-1960) to install 65 linear feet of riprap revetment channelward of an existing bulkhead and install 148 linear feet of riprap sill along the shoreline of Wilkins Creek and 2363 Mundy Point Road.
3. Request by Steven and Carolyn J. Walker (V.M.R.C. #24-1929) to install 164 linear feet of riprap revetment and install 238 linear feet of riprap sill along the shoreline of Mill Creek 311 Ferlazzo Lane.
4. Request by Wicomico Church LLC (V.M.R.C. #24-1933) to install 596 linear feet of riprap revetment channelward of an existing bulkhead and replace two (2) timber bulkhead return walls along the shoreline of Barrett Creek and Tax Map Parcel #36-1-110- A & B on Riverway Lane.

The applications requesting the proposed permits are on file in the Office of Building and Zoning at the Old Courthouse in Heathsville, VA, where all interested parties may view and inspect the projects.
