Dear Adjacent Property Owner:
Please be advised that the following permit request has been filed with the City of Suffolk Wetlands Board. The application will be considered at a public hearing to be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Suffolk City Hall, 442 W. Washington Street:
VMRC23-2872, submitted by Peter Stutts, HGS LLC, agent and applicant, on behalf of CEPCO 1 LLC, Drew and Larissa Smith, George and Leslie Pelton, Kenneth and Michelle Wren, and Matthew and Dana Bernhardt, property owners, for a permit to construct a living shoreline with two spurs 110 and 75 linear feet in size, two breakwaters each 173 linear feet in size, and 960 linear feet of revetment. The living shoreline will be planted with Spartina alterniflora and Spartina patens landward of the spurs and breakwaters that will abate wave energy and channelward of the revetment. This project does not qualify for a General Permit. The properties are located within The Reserve at Cedar Point Subdivision along the Nansemond River; further identified as Zoning Map 5*16A*2, Parcels 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, and OS*C, zoned RL, Residential Low Density Zoning District.
