Pursuant to Section 28.2-1403 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, and the Coastal Primary Sand Dune Zoning Ordinance of Isle of Wight County, that Howard C. Canada III has filed to construct approximately 140 LF of vinyl bulkhead with (2) 10 LF returns with backfill and construct approximately 140 LF of Class 1 & 11 mix granite quarry stone riprap revetment along the face of the proposed bulkhead which will impact 1,115 square feet of beach as outlined in JPA-2023-2222.  The proposed project is located at 1385 Lawnes Neck Drive, Smithfield.

The Isle of Wight County Wetlands Board Public Hearing will consider this application at its meeting on Monday, April 15, 2024, in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room, Isle of Wight Courthouse, 17140 Monument Circle, Isle of Wight, Virginia, beginning at 6:00 PM.

If you dewsire to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express your views with respect to the aforesaid application, you may appear before and be heard by said Wetlands Board at its meeting on Monday, April 15, 2024.  Your comments in favor of or in opposition to the application may be made by letter giving specific reasons in complete detail and said letter must be received by this office before the date of the above-mentioned Wetlands Board Meeting.
