Public Comment Opportunity: The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is accepting public comments on the draft Economic and Environmental Impact Assessment of Recycling in Virginia pursuant to Item 377 C in the Commonwealth’s 2022-2024 Biennium Budget, House Bill 30. The draft report is found on DEQ’s website at https://www.deq.virginia.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/22122.

The public comment period will close Thursday, February 1, 2024.  A public hearing to receive public comments has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. at DEQ's Piedmont Regional Office, Training Room, 4949-A Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060.

If you are unable to attend the public hearing to provide comment, you may do so via the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall.  Additionally, DEQ accepts written comments by hand-delivery, e-mail, or postal mail.
