Earlier this year, the Board for Professional and Occupational Regulation (BPOR) had scheduled public hearings around the Commonwealth of Virginia to receive comment on the need for continued regulation of seven professions/occupations as recommended in the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee (JLARC) Report. Those regulants are as follows :

-backflow prevention device workers

-common interest community manager employees

-interior designers

-landscape architects

-soil scientists

-waste management facility operators

-wetland delineators

Due to Covid-19, those public hearings were canceled. As it is uncertain when the public hearings may be rescheduled, and in order to provide the public the opportunity to render comments for the Board to consider, public comment will be received from 9/1/20-9/30/20 on the need for continued regulation of the seven professions/occupations listed above.
