| Purpose of the meeting PURPOSE OF PUBLIC MEETING: For the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to exchange information with the interested public on technical issues related to the proposed permit issuances such as: site-specific information that DEQ may consider when drafting the permit; the standard content of permits; and how the public can provide comment on the draft permits. PERMIT NUMBERS AND NAMES: VPA00836 – Synagro Central LLC., Chesterfield County issued by the DEQ pursuant to applicable water laws and regulations NAME AND ADDRESS OF APPLICANT: Synagro Central LLC., 1681 Tappahannock Blvd Tappahannock, VA 22560 PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION: Synagro Central, LLC. has submitted an application for the reissuance of their existing permit that would authorize the land application of biosolids and water treatment plant residuals as fertilizer to 2,748.6 acres in Chesterfield County, of which 1,400.3 are additional acres of agricultural and silvicultural land, and limits the application of nutrients, metals and pathogens contained in these materials to amounts that protect water quality and human health. That notice will include instructions on how to comment and/or request a public hearing on the draft permit. Based on comments received on the draft permit, DEQ may make a final decision on the permit, or hold a public hearing on the draft permit. The public may review the permit application at the website named above, at the public meeting, by appointment at the DEQ office named below, or may request copies of the documents from the contact person listed below.
