| Purpose of the meeting Virtual Beneficiary Medicaid Member advisory council Virginia Medicaid Beneficiary Advisory Committee (BAC) Meeting: April,27th,2026 Virginia is the second state to establish a Medicaid Member or Beneficiary Advisory Committee, made up exclusively of members and their authorized representatives. Launched in April 2019, the group meets quarterly to engage in a transformational discussion with the Medicaid Director, executive leadership, and staff about current benefits, upcoming changes, share invaluable feedback and recommendations on the agency’s programs, policies, services, and communications, as well as uplift areas of collaboration and excellence. The committee members represent all regions of the state and a cross-section of Medicaid programs. Through their participation, they are helping to make Medicaid more accessible and effective in serving the almost 2 million members across the Commonwealth of Virginia. | |
