| Purpose of the meeting PURPOSE OF NOTICE: To announce a Summary of Comments Public Hearing for Synagro Central, LLC. – Essex County, a “controversial” permit, in accordance with § 10.1-1184.1 of the Code of Virginia. PUBLIC HEARING: Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Tappahannock – Essex Volunteer Fire Department located at 620 Airport Road, Tappahannock, VA 22560 at 6:00 PM. PERMIT NAME AND NUMBER: VPA00831 - Synagro Central LLC – Essex County issued by the DEQ pursuant to applicable laws and regulations. PURPOSE OF HEARING: To obtain input on the Department’s Summary of Comments from individuals who previously commented, either in person at the draft permit public hearing or in writing during the public comment periods. No new information will be accepted at the hearing. Only comments regarding the Department’s Summary of Comments will be accepted.
