Purpose of the meeting
The Virginia Department of Energy (Virginia Energy) is in the process of developing a set of new Home Energy Rebate Programs funded by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Virginia Energy has the opportunity to apply for around $190 million in formula-based funding for these new energy efficiency and electrification programs. As part of our planning effort, we are holding a series of stakeholder sessions to raise awareness of these forthcoming programs and solicit insights to inform program design. This two-hour virtual working session will cover key program design decisions on topics such as eligibility and income verification, consumer protection, education and outreach, and market transformation.  In addition to this working session, Virginia Energy is soliciting written input on design of Virginia's Home Energy Rebate Programs via this questionnaire: https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=qeUKYsFOoE-GQV2fOGxzCe5CXhGq4y5BgU_SXVaCrsJUQktVWTZEU1BPMkJLUzBES0NQTkRKM0E3US4u.
