| Purpose of the meeting The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is announcing the fourth meeting of a regulatory advisory panel (RAP) to assist DEQ in the regulatory process of revising the Solar Permit by Rule (PBR) regulation related to impacts on prime agricultural soils and forest lands affected by the PBR program. The RAP will also assist in developing criteria for an applicant of a solar project to address in a plan to mitigate any significant adverse impacts to prime agricultural soils and forest lands. The fourth meeting of this RAP will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on September 28, 2023, at DEQ’s Piedmont Regional Office, with sign-in beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Piedmont Regional Office is located in the Innsbrook Corporate Center in the northwest quadrant of the Greater Richmond Metropolitan Area at 4949-A Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Turn right into the parking lot at the DEQ sign and enter the building on the left side. Please note that while this is a public meeting and members of the public are invited to attend, only members of the RAP will be asked to participate. | |||
