| Purpose of the meeting The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) formed an ad hoc workgroup to assist in developing regulations regarding criteria to determine mitigation strategies for a significant adverse impact to prime agricultural soils or forest lands as a result of a proposed solar project that is a small renewable energy project. This workgroup will also assist in developing criteria for an applicant of a solar project to address in a plan to mitigate any significant adverse impacts to soils and lands. A work session meeting of members from sub-group 5 of the House Bill 206 ad hoc workgroup will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 11, 2022 in the first floor meeting room at the Fairfield Area Library located at 1401 N. Laburnum Avenue, Henrico, VA 23223. Please note that while this is a public meeting and members of the public are invited to attend, only members of the workgroup will be asked to participate. | |||
