| Purpose of the meeting An informational briefing and public hearing convened by the Department of Environmental Quality, to provide information and receive comment on the reissuance of a hazardous waste storage permit for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. The draft permit will allow the facility to continue to store hazardous and mixed wastes in existing Hazardous Waste Management Units (HWMU) at the facility. The informational briefing will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the public hearing at 6:30 p.m. | |
