| Purpose of the meeting A public hearing being convened by the Department of Environmental Quality to receive comment on a draft permit modification for the Lorton CDD Landfill. Lorton CDD Landfill, Inc., has applied for a modification to its solid waste permit to be authorized to install an alternate final cover system, consisting of additional soil layers in order to plant trees and shrubs on the cover, and change the post closure use of the landfill to a passive recreational area. This permit modification will also incorporate the following documents into the permit: Closure and Post Closure Plan; last revised February 5, 2018; Landfill Gas Management Plan, last revised May 2018; Odor Control Management Plan, last revised November 21, 2011; Landfill Gas Remediation Plan, last revised September 2018; Construction Quality Assurance Plan, last revised January 2018; Technical Specifications for Closure Construction, last revised January 2018; Environmental Monitoring and Reporting Plan, dated April 2018; Leachate Pretreatment Plan, last revised April 2018; Landscape Plans and Details, last revised February 1, 2018; Design Drawings, last revised February 2, 2018. | |
