| Purpose of the meeting The Department of Medical Assistance Services will hold an initial interest meeting for stakeholders regarding the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) opportunity. DMAS and other state agency partners, along with support from the Virginia Center for Health Innovation (VCHI) are in the beginning stages of the development process. DSRIPs aim to meet strategic goals, based on the Triple Aim principles of better care, improved health, and lower costs by incentivizing reforms within the current Medicaid benefit structure, that transition away from episodic treatment of disease toward prevention and management of health and wellness among the existing Medicaid population. Stakeholders are key partners in the future implementation of the DSRIP waiver. It is important to DMAS that stakeholders are engaged in the development of this waiver application and programs. The purpose of this stakeholder meeting is to inform interested parties of what DSRIP is, determine initial interest and solicit feedback as to how stakeholders would like to be engaged going forward. Following this initial interest meeting, a series of stakeholder meetings will be set for the upcoming months. | |
