| Purpose of the meeting The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has scheduled a meeting for invited stakeholders and other interested public to provide input on the crushing of fluorescent lights/mercury-containing lamps under the Universal Waste (UW) provisions of the Virginia Hazardous Waste Management Regulations. The DEQ would like to receive feedback from a wide spectrum of regulated/affected parties, including state and Federal agencies, the military, industry, recyclers, consultants and others who have an interest in this area.
