Summary CHANGE I - policies & procedures to implement a National Emphasis Program (NEP) to find, reduce or eliminate worker exposure to harmful chemical & physical health hazards in Primary Metal Industries, noted by NAICS/SIC codes in Appendix B. CHANGE II - policies & procedures to implement an NEP to find, reduce or eliminate worker exposure to harmful chemical & physical health hazards in Primary Metal Industries, such as iron foundries & worksites manufacturing nails, insulated wires & cables, steel piping, & copper & aluminum products, under Major Group 33 in the Standard Industrial Classification Manual, & now under NAICS.This NEP heightens health & safety awareness in affected industries of potential worker exposure to harmful chemical & physical health hazards so employers may voluntarily correct hazards to comply with safety & health standards.
