| Summary |
This memo to permittees is aimed at reducing the risk of failures of impoundments into underground mine works and subsequent catastrophic discharges to surface waters. Permittees are advised to determine if proposed underground mine works have the potential to affect proposed or existing impoundments. It also states that DMLR will review each proposed operation to determine whether it may increase the risk of failure of nearby impoundments. |
