The revised and realigned COVEOP addresses several new operational aspects and initiatives including the Pet Evacuation and Sheltering legislation; embraces National Incident Management System concepts and principles; aligns with the DHS National Response Plan, draft National Response Framework and preparedness guidelines; and incorporates 17 Emergency Support Functional Annexes in a completely revised format.
