The law needs to remain the same with using mail in ballots for ONLY emergencies or for when people are going to be absent from the state. It has been proven over and over again that mail in ballots lead to corruption in the count so NO to mail in ballots.
1. Section 24.2-701.2(C) requires that the SBE guidance provide information on how to comply with the Virginians with Disabilities Act (§ 51.5-1 et seq.), the Voting Accessibility for the Elderly and Handicapped Act (52 U.S.C. § 20101 et seq.), and the Americans with Disabilities Act relating to public services (42 U.S.C. § 12131 et seq.) . This does not appear to address any of these issues.
2. The summary for this regulation indicates that it is to "establishes requirements for...which physical protections ... are necessary to make voting systems safe and secure at satellite offices." There do not appear to be any requirements in this regulation that pertain to physical security.
