I am looking for understanding and guidance as it pertains to AR Pistols, particularly, and the ability to legally certify with for BEA, and armed security. 

Requesting approval on may one qualify with a factory registered and manufacted AR 15 pistols under the DCJS handgun qualification course, given its factory pistol classification given there no unreasonable, questionable alterations or modified parts even in the current legal dealings between the ATF, and State. Additionally, updates as it pertains requiered traning. 

If not, is it the asumtion that BEA and Armed Security under DCJS are not expected to while on duty have the same level of protection that a otherwise ordinary civilian may obtain, or even higher levels of caliber or weapons as criminals have been know to attain. 

Would this include leagl AR Pistols chambered in 5.56 / 223
