I start with saying all people deserve respect and love & basic human rights no matter how they identify. Now to my issue: Transgender used to be called "Gender Dysphoria" which is a mental issue. We are born biological male or female. To teach that this is normal and that kids can decide which gender they are is dangerous. The attempted suicide rate for the Transgender population being 45% or higher should tell us that. This isn't because of bullying, you can look at different communities where bullying is higher and the suicide rate is substantially less. So if bullying is not the issue we go back to medical mental issue. To have boys in girls restrooms and vice versa because of how they identify or how their parents/society tells them to identify is dangerous and unacceptable. If anyone really cared about the issue they would look at the root cause and really do some good, but it seems in our current climate this kind of talk is "Hate Speech". This doesn't even cover the males who identify as females playing female sports and dominating. How is that fair to our daughters/women out there putting the work in? This type of legislation is dangerous and opens the doors to many more problems ranging from criminal acts to completely diminishing 'women's rights'. Now lets talk about the same scenario and restrooms/locker rooms. I shouldn't have to explain why we have female and male restrooms and it has nothing to do with how you identify but your biology. Ending, everyone deserves to be loved and is created with purpose, but real, true love is sometimes not easy. If you love someone, you tell them when something is wrong and you get them help. Instead, it is my fear that this type of legislation amplifies the problem by pandering to things that aren't true just because it might make you or them feel good.
