Dear Jeff,

The pending legislation to control the chicken waste that has been plaguing the Shenandoah River has been a long time coming. I fish the river a lot and would swim in it but I am afraid to. I won't even wet wade. The river use to be so great and its steady decline is intolerable and painful to watch. I have only been fishing it for 15 years. The old timers that have been here for 60 years and more tear up when they talk about how it use to be. I pray that this legislation helps change the face of this once great river back to something close to what it was. One of our country's greatest treasures.
