"KEEP THE VIRGINIA BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE TESTER / WORKER LICENSE!!!!!"

Not only is it unsafe, it is also not practical to take detrimental steps backwards from years of ongoing progress made by people with a professional and passionate motivation to keep the water supplies that our family, friends, co-workers, and other human beings consume safe and free of pollutants and contaminants that could be exposed by means of backflow from a downstream process. It is only right and fair to our consumers that we strive to continue to guarantee quality and safe water to their point of connection. The license is a safe net to help ensure that qualified individuals are overseeing the proper testing and maintenance of these devices to make sure that they are performing within the standards in which they were designed, and so that they are not rendered "USELESS". If you do away with the license requirements, then you might as well do away with the theory of backflow prevention and the code compliance requirements to have these vital devices installed. My personal and professional opinion is that this should not even be a topic of discussion, nor a consideration period. Please think about the negative impacts that this could have while processing this senseless motion.
