Strongly oppose elimination of Licensed Professional Soil Scientist (LPSS)

I oppose the elimination of the LPSS.  The elimination of this license will impact my business greatly.  We have 2 LPSS on staff at Soils Inc and we will not be able to conduct infiltration studies for storm water management facilities in Fairfax or Arlington Counties.  Both these counties require this license to do this work.  They require it for infiltration testing and water table checks.  A LPSS is trained evaluating soil to determining many things.  We mainly use it to evaluate seasonal high water table even in dry conditions.  This is crucial in design storm water management facilities.  If the water table or seasonal water table is not identified correctly the facilities will fail.
