The PWD certificate is a certification of competency. We rely upon the PWD’s to lead, guide, mentor, and set a high standard of conduct for the delineations we perform for clients.
One recent client testimonial was "...one of the PWD certified staff undid an obvious mistake and/ or illogical conclusion by our previous wetlands man." This showed that the public was not protected by allowing unqualified individuals to perform the work.
Certifications give credibility from the perspectives of clients and the agencies we interact with.
Many localities require “qualified wetland experts” to conduct the delineations that are shown on site plans – having PWD’s satisfies this requirement.
