SUPPORT Continued Regulation of Interior Design in Virginia

My name is Myeshia Hanna and I live in Virginia. I currently practice interior design for the federal government and write this comment in STRONG support of the continued regulation of the interior design profession in the state of Virginia.

While I am currently certified by NCIDQ and hold a professional license to independently practice Interior Design in the District of Columbia, having Virginia maintain its regulation for certification provides the option to expand my professional capabilities into this great commonwealth.  I was born in Washington, D.C., raised and educated in Prince George's County, MD, and now reside in Fairfax.  With the removal of interior design certification from Virginia, fulfilling the dream of owning my own design business in my native area,  will be hindered of servicing all (3) jurisdictions.

Please reconsider the decision to  eliminate this regulation.
