No Mandatory Masks- No proven medical necessity, detrimental to proper breathing

Mask wearing presents an unprecedented health risk to the general public.  Numerous medical, educated health workers, and in the field resources have advised against it.  It also can trigger trauma survivors with PTSD.

Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25903751/ - From a randomized Controlled Trial

We are headed into the hottest and most humid months in Virginia creating a veritable breeding ground for bacteria and viruses from mask usage.  Our most vulnerable, elderly adults with comorbidities and our children would be most at risk from mask wearing.  They need to breathe!   In randomized field controlled studies the results have been unanimous That masks do not work!

“No randomized controlled  study with verified outcome shows a benefit for health care workers or community members in households to wearing a mask or respirator. There is no such study. There are no exceptions.  Likewise, no study exists that shows a benefit from a broad policy to wear masks in public.  Furthermore, if there were any benefit to wearing a mask, because of the blocking power against droplets and aerosol particles, then there should be more benefit from wearing a respirator (N95) compared to a surgical mask, yet several large meta-analyses, and all the RCT, prove that there is no such relative benefit.  Masks and respirators do not work.”  Dr Kauffman

The potential for masks to reduce oxygen levels in the wearer are important not only because this can lead to passing out, but also because they have been linked to reduced natural immunity.  Dr Russell Blaylock- retired surgeonhttps://www.jpost.com/health-science/could-wearing-a-mask-for-long-periods-be-detrimental-to-health-628400

If we reduce the body's immune function we leave people even more vulnerable to the Coronavirus as well as to other infections including systemic autoimmune and cancers. Furthermore,  I can personally attest to the feeling, as many sexual trauma survivors have mentioned, that the mask over the face often triggers a PTSD response as it feels similar to a hand or arm being held over the mouth.  This may invoke panic, hysteria, and severe emotional distress.  This is real, please do not discount survivors' trauma.

Thank you
