Please consider the safety of school children, staff, and families. The initial response of the FCPS was to keep schools open. We have too many children and families that cannot afford adequate healthcare and already deal with so many preexisting conditions. School should not be another high risk area for the health. This is not child care, this is education. We can reopen schools slowly over time, but the fall is not a good time to do so. The major voices of people who want to reopen are not those who will be inside the buildings. I will be in the building. Please listen to the professionals.
