Schools are not ready to reopen based on surge in Covid cases within and outside our state, covid’s risk to the health of teachers and staff. The schools inability to keep up with PPE demands and the schools inability to give parents the childcare and interaction they are seeking when schools are following CDC guidelines. Many people here are advocating for no masks and full return to school, because they have not been personally touched by Covid-19. There is a huge subset of Fairfax County that are currently battling Corona and are not on forums. These families have children in our schools and could possibly pass this unyielding virus to students and staff. We need virtual education enhanced and people wear masks, no matter how uncomfortable they are to save others from battling Covid-19!
