Too little too late for mandating masks
 

When this virus was announced months ago, taking action by wearing masks might have been an appropriate measure to help slow the spread of the virus. Quoting a study done in 2015 from 14 hospitals in Vietnam where medical masks (including N95) and cloth masks were worn:

"Laboratory tests showed the penetration of particles through the cloth masks to be very high (97%) compared with medical masks (44%) (used in trial) and 3M 9320 N95 (<0.01%), 3M Vflex 9105 N95 (0.1%). "

Given this information, there is no reason for healthy people to wear masks in public whether indoors or out. Persons with healthy immune systems are still likely to contract the illness through a medical masks as if they were wearing none at all. A little research goes a long way. We do not need to wear masks and if it is mandated for the next 6 months I will not be wearing it and neither will my family. Here is the link to the research:
